During the 2025 Football season, Marilyn McNamara received the 2025 Fan of the Year award. However, Marilyn is not just your ordinary “fan”. For 50 years Marilyn has been cheering, volunteering, and pouring her heart into Winterset kids and their activities as well as being a member of the Winterset Husky Booster Club Board for those 50 years. From raising funds, to lending countless hours of her time, Marilyn has helped make opportunities possible for generations of students. As a board, the unanimous decision was made to rename the award the “Marilyn McNamara Fan of the Year Award” a lasting tribute to her 5 decades of dedication to our youth and activities.

Our 2025–2026 VIP and Diamond Level donors were honored during a home basketball game with framed letters and commemorative pins in recognition of their exceptional generosity and dedication to the Husky Booster Club.
